Remember Nicaea

This year is the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea when Christians came together against a backdrop of controversy and created a statement of faith to summarise their beliefs about Jesus Christ. 
It was expanded by the Constantinople council several decades later and has been affirmed by followers of Jesus ever since.

 

 

 

Christian congregations across the UK and Ireland are warmly invited to participate in 

 

Remembering Nicaea on Sunday, 5 October 2025

 

within your own Sunday service, in whatever way you feel is appropriate.
